Procurement and Contracts Officer

Salary: Up to £39,207

This excellent opportunity is offered to an enthusiastic and dynamic professional with the relevant skills and experience to lead on procurement and contract management activity.

You will be the Council’s expert in developing modern procurement, commissioning and contract management strategies and procedures. You will advise and support service managers on the best methods of procurement and contract design. You should possess or be working towards a professional procurement qualification, such as CIPS. You should have practical experience of tendering processes and knowledge of the latest procurement directives and legislative requirements.

Financial Inclusion Officer

Salary: Up to £25,867

We are looking for a Financial Inclusion Officer to join our new Income Collection Team, who are responsible for managing over 4000 tenancies. With knowledge of social housing, you will provide advice and guidance to our tenants to help them maximise their income, avoid financial difficulties and budget effectively.

You will be responsible for managing Financial Inclusion cases across the Borough. You will also work closely with colleagues across the Housing team to support tenants to pay their rent, minimise arrears and prevent tenancy failure. You will visit customers in their homes to discuss their circumstances, complete financial statements and assist them to complete forms.

Street Cleansing Operative

Salary: £18,964

We require a permanent Street Cleansing Operative to work within our busy cleansing section. The role will entail working within a small team with the requirement to carry out a number of physical tasks i.e. emptying/servicing dog/litter bins, walking long distances, collecting/loading items onto the van, clearing fly tipping, litter picking.

In addition, a key element of the role will be covering as a Refuse Collector when required. Good customer care skills and team work are essential with the ability to work in all weather conditions.

Temporary Housing Options Officer

Salary: £22,427 - £23,747 (Fixed term until 31 March 2024)

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit a Housing Options Officer to help deliver and improve its Housing Options service. As a Housing Options Officer, your role will include daily contact with customers that require housing advice, are homeless or threatened with homelessness.

Your role will be to interview customers and assess their housing situation in accordance with the Council’s statutory duties. You will then be expected to undertake the necessary investigations in accordance with the relevant legislation and guidance to make an assessment on what assistance is provided and duty is owed to customers.

Head of Asset Management and Development

Salary: £52,368 to £57,604

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking for an individual who will exercise strong and competent professional leadership for our Asset Management and Development team. Current assets include 4,500 social housing units that are maintained by the FM team, operational properties, a large part of Beeston Town Centre including a recently-completed cinema & restaurant development, business premises and corporate offices.

We’re looking for an individual with a track record of adding value and achieving high standards in strategic asset management of a diverse real estate portfolio for a public body, estates management and a high level of customer satisfaction in the delivery of responsive & planned housing maintenance and repair.

Salary: £20,565 - £21,918

Quality and Control are looking for a Quality and Control Officer to be part of a team driving for excellence.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well organised and visionary individual to be an important member of the team constantly evaluating the service and recognising opportunities for development.

The role is varied and amongst other things will involve tasks such as dealing with Sundry Debts and Housing Benefit Overpayment Recovery, dealing with all aspects of Discretionary Housing Payments applications and processing returned Council Tax/Business Rates/Sundry Debts direct debit recalls.
