Strong winds expected to hit Nottinghamshire this weekend

strong winds

Storm Eunice is going to continue to cause strong winds across Nottinghamshire this weekend. We are advising residents to stay safe by:

  • Securing any loose objects such a ladders, garden furniture and anything that could be blown into windows and other glazing
  • Closing and securely fastening doors and windows, particularly those on the windward side of the house
  • Parking vehicles in a garage if available - otherwise try to keep them away from trees, walls and fences
  • If possible please help out any elderly family, friends or neighbours that may need some extra support to stay safe

This morning we have shared information on our parks and open spaces across our social media channels - please visit our Facebook and Twitter pages for updates.
