Pool Leisure Assistants

Salary: £9.82 per hour 

The Council are looking to recruit Pool Leisure Assistants at Bramcote Leisure Centre.

You will be responsible for supervising swimmers in the pools, ensuring health, safety and well-being of customers and the smooth operation and cleanliness of the facility. Your duties will include lifeguarding; assisting with general cleaning duties; preparing the facility for operation. You will be in the front line of customer service, providing advice and information, helping customers participate and providing a high level of service.

It is essential that applicants are in possession of a current, valid RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Playground Maintenance Inspector

Salary: £20,565 - £21,918 

Based at Kimberley Depot the Council is seeking to recruit a Playground Maintenance Inspector to work as part of our Parks Team.

The post holder will have a wide range of responsibilities working to maintain the Council’s play areas in a safe and clean condition. The work will involve inspecting the play areas and equipment and carrying out routine maintenance work and undertaking repairs where necessary. The role also involves installing items of new equipment and undertaking construction and repair of other facilities at various Parks and Green spaces.

Parks and Green Spaces Manager

Salary: £40,107 - £41,886

At Broxtowe Borough Council we are passionate about the Environment and the Council have made a commitment to be carbon neutral by 2027. Whilst this will be a challenging target, we have a drive to implement our Climate Change and Green Futures Programme to see improvements across the borough and this role will play a key part in achieving our target.

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated professional to join our Environment Team and lead on the management of the Councils Parks and Green Spaces section including the frontline Grounds Maintenance service. You will also be responsible for the development of the strategic policy aspects of the Council’s green and blue infrastructure.

The role is based at Kimberley Depot, although you will be expected to attend meetings at other sites.  You will also be required to attend evening meetings and be part of the Council's emergency call out cover.

Housing Services Apprentice

Salary: £18,964 

An exciting development opportunity has arisen within our Housing department for an Apprentice to formally train and develop the skills to become a Social Housing professional.

This job will provide on-the-job training and experience in a Local Government setting, combined with undertaking a formal Level 3 Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship leading to becoming a member of Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH). 20% of your time at work will be allocated to your apprenticeship training.

This opportunity will enable the right candidate to fully experience the inner workings of a Housing Management, Housing Options and Lettings service.

The Economic Development Team is looking for someone with a professional business manner, able to take the initiative, someone who is willing to learn and take on new projects.

ICT Apprentice

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our ICT Services Team for an Apprentice to develop a range of ICT technician skills. This job will provide on-the-job training and experience in a varied and interesting environment, you will also undertake level 3 apprenticeship training provided by Remit. 

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our ICT team and assist us in delivering a professional service in an ever changing and increasingly demanding environment. 

Based at the Council Offices in Beeston, you will assist the ICT Department in its related Operational and Service Desk activities. Duties will include first line support, computer operations, building and installing PCs along with any related software, monitoring the network and computer systems, maintenance, physical audits and associated clerical tasks.
