World Suicide Prevention Day
 World Suicide Prevention Day is a day for organisations and communities to come together to raise awareness, on how we can create a world where fewer people die by suicide.
Many of us over the past year have experienced feelings of overwhelming and uncertainty.
The Samaritans have created a list of tips and resources to help you remain hopeful during a difficult time.
You may want to try going on a walk with friends or family, as a way to help boost your overall mood and wellbeing.
Try connecting with how you're feeling by writing your thoughts down which could help you stay safe in a crisis.
The Samaritans are open 24/7 for emotional support if you need to talk.

Do You Work In A Care Home?
 All care home workers must have their first dose of the COVID vaccine by 16th September to allow the 8 week gap between doses and ensure they are fully vaccinated by 11th November, unless they are exempt.
Health Bosses Urge Public To Help Local NHS
 NHS and care services across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are asking for the public’s help to make sure they can focus emergency care on the sickest patients.
All health and care services across the city and county have felt the strain as life returns to normal following COVID-19 restrictions coming to an end, but for health and care staff the challenge of the pandemic has not gone away.
Latest figures show that in the patch there are 200 people with COVID-19 in hospital beds, with 26 being in the most critical condition. At the same time the A&E teams are seeing increasing numbers of patients, with over 1,100 patients in just one day this Monday at King’s Mill and Queen’s Medical Centre. As a result of A&E being full patients are experiencing long waits.

Broxtowe Marks Emergency Services Day
 On Thursday 9th September The Deputy Mayor of Broxtowe raised the flag to mark Emergency Services Day 2021.
The Deputy Mayor of Broxtowe Councillor David Grindell, along with the Leader of the Council Milan Radulovic and representatives from the emergency services attended including; Mick Barnett-Connolly, Head of Community Response, Collaboration and Engagement, Derek Burnett Past Mayor and Community First Responder, Zac Goodspeed, Station Manager at Highfield Fire Station and Simon Riley, Neighbourhood Policing Inspector, Beeston Police Station.
Hemlock Rocks
Celebrate the return of live outdoor music at the Hemlock Rocks event at Bramcote Hills Park, Bramcote, from 3-8pm on Saturday the 18th of September.
Nestled in the intimate walled garden area of the park, the event is a great way to see out the end of the Summer with family and friends.
Come along and enjoy an afternoon of quality music supplied by the likes of local favourites, The Jeanie Barton Quartet, Nottingham’s own DJ Expression playing a fine selection of popular and rare, soul, funk and house grooves, the Two Tone influenced sounds from the SKA’s and acoustic classics from singer and guitar duo PancakeBoy & Miss Shapen. More acts to be confirmed.
Entry is just £1 per person and under 16s are free to attend as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Booking is essential as numbers are limited.

D.H. Lawrence Festival
The D.H. Lawrence Music Festival is back tomorrow!
With over 100 acts in over 10 venues across Eastwood, there's something for every from Country to Punk, Folk to Rap.
Head down from 2pm for a day full of live music and help support our local artists who have been greatly impacted by the pandemic.

Nottinghamshire Pride
Nottinghamshire Pride is taking place this Saturday 11th September.
With a colourful parade, live music, and inspiring speeches and performances; celebrate Nottinghamshire Pride!
Nottingham's streets will come to life with a rainbow of colour, vibrant music and dancing.
The parade will commence from Albert Street by St Peters Church but experience says that the march will reach back to Castle Gate and Lister Gate. This is a tried and tested muster point.
People are asked to begin to gather from 10.00am.
There will be two marching bands, Nottingham School of Samba and Can Samba. The Nottingham School of Samba will front the March and set the pace. Followed behind them will be the Notts Pride Committee with the Pride flag.

Self-isolating

Financial support

The impact of the pandemic on you and your loved ones and not being able to enjoy all of the activities you would normally be involved in can all have an impact on your health. It is important to remember to look after yourself. If you have symptoms or a health concern you are worried about, please contact your GP practice. GP practices are still open and here for you. When you call your practice, you may be offered a consultation online or over the phone. If they feel they need to see you in person, they will invite you in for a face to face appointment.
