Prime Minister's statement on COVID-19
 On the 5th July the Prime Minister confirmed that a final decision on whether we will move to step four of the Government’s roadmap on 19 July will be made on 12 July following a review of the latest data.
The Prime Minister also confirmed the Government has published the COVID-19 Response: Summer 2021 Roadmap which contains the details of step four and how the Government will continue to manage the risk of serious illness from the spread of the virus.
The publication includes the next steps on face coverings and working from home, the re-opening of remaining businesses, test and trace, and the findings of the social distancing and certification reviews.
Let's watch it 'come home' safely on Sunday
 After a long 55 year wait England are finally through to a football tournament final!
Times like these don't come around often so it's important that we celebrate but we need to remember to keep our celebrations in line with the Government guidelines and focus on keeping each other safe.
Make sure you are following these key rules to help stop the spread of COVID-19:
- practice social distancing
- checking into venues using the NHS app
- wear a mask when moving around indoors
- 6 people or two households indoors

The NHS celebrated it's 73rd birthday!
On Monday 5th July, the NHS celebrated it's 73rd birthday, and on the same day the Queen awarded the George Cross to the National Health Services of the UK.
It has been an extremely challenging year for the NHS and the country as a whole, but also a year of hope.
We would like to take the opportunity to celebrate the NHS achievements and thank the extraordinary NHS staff – who are there to guide, support and care for us, day in, day out.

Our Pasture Road consultation closes on Wednesday!
As part of the Pride in Parks initiative we have some capital funding available and are working to submit a bid for additional grant funding to refurbish the play area on the Pasture Road Recreation Ground at Stapleford.
We have put together a survey as we would like your thoughts on this and possible further improvements to the park, including adult fitness.
The Pasture Road consultation closes on Wednesday 14th July at 5.00pm.

Reel Outdoor Cinema coming soon...
From the 4th - 8th August there is an outdoor cinema coming to various locations within Broxtowe.
You will be able to see a range of shows including:

Have you done our Art Trail yet?
Don't forget to head into Beeston and complete our art trail, which highlights the contribution of key workers to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ten images representing staff ranging from teachers and shop staff to NHS workers and carers are on display in various locations around the town.
Commissioned by Broxtowe Borough Council, the trail is part of a series of events to mark the redevelopment of the town centre and will serve as a lasting reminder of the dedication of key workers throughout the past 18 months.

Support Available
Self-isolating
If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, stay at home and self-isolate immediately. If you have a positive test result but do not have symptoms, stay at home and self-isolate as soon as you receive the results. Your household needs to isolate too.

Financial support

Mental health
The impact of the pandemic on you and your loved ones and not being able to enjoy all of the activities you would normally be involved in can all have an impact on your health. It is important to remember to look after yourself. If you have symptoms or a health concern you are worried about, please contact your GP practice. GP practices are still open and here for you. When you call your practice, you may be offered a consultation online or over the phone. If they feel they need to see you in person, they will invite you in for a face to face appointment.
