Step 3 put on a four week pause
 The Government has announced a four week pause at Step 3 on the Roadmap and many Step 3 restrictions remain in place.
It is expected that England will move to Step 4 on 19 July, though the data will be reviewed after 2 weeks in case the risks have reduced.
From 21 June, the rules on the number of people who can attend a wedding or civil partnership ceremony, a wedding reception or civil partnership celebration, and a commemorative event following a funeral such as a wake, stone setting or ash scattering, will change.
The number of people who can attend these events in a COVID-Secure venue or other venue (such as a garden of a private home) will be determined by how many people a venue can safely accommodate with social distancing measures in place, including guests of all ages and anyone working at the event.
From 21 June some changes will be made to visits in and out of care homes.
For visits in to care homes, all care home residents will be able to nominate an essential care giver. These essential care givers will be able to visit the care home resident, even if the resident is isolating.

If you've had your first vaccination please remember to book your second appointment if not done so already.

Euro 2020 - Let's keep following the guidance
 The Euro's 2020 are now in full swing and it's important for residents and businesses to carry on following the current guidance in place.
If you are heading out to a venue to watch the games please remember to carry on checking into venues, washing your hands, social distancing and wearing face coverings when moving around indoors.
If you are a business please ensure your venues are COVID-19 secure and you are safely enforcing the necessary restrictions to keep everyone safe.

Art trail celebrating key workers now open in Beeston
A new art trail has been unveiled in Beeston to highlight the contribution of key workers to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ten images representing staff ranging from teachers and shop staff to NHS workers and carers are on display in various locations around the town.
Commissioned by Broxtowe Borough Council, the trail is part of a series of events to mark the redevelopment of the town centre and will serve as a lasting reminder of the dedication of key workers throughout the past 18 months.

Heroes Honoured For Armed Forces Day
The Mayor of the Borough of Broxtowe, Councillor Richard MacRae, will raise a specially commissioned Armed Forces Day Flag in The Square, Beeston on Monday 21 June at 11.00am to mark a week of events being held across the country.
Colonel Gavin Hatcher OBE from 170 (Infrastructure Support) Engineer Group Royal Engineers will join Councillor MacRae to raise the flag and address representatives from the Royal British Legion and uniformed organisations to show our support and recognise the contributions of all those who serve or have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.
This year’s Armed Forces Day will take place on Saturday 26 June to honour the British Armed Forces past and present, service families, reservists and cadets. You can mark Armed Forces Day with family at home.

Bramcote Crematorium raises £10,000 for local charity
Bramcote Crematorium has raised over £10,000 for a local bereavement charity thanks to its recycling scheme.
Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide is the only organisation offering peer-to-peer support to all those over the age of 18 impacted by suicide loss in the UK. They help those bereaved by suicide to support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow.
They are a self-help organisation and provide a safe, confidential environment in which bereaved people can share their experiences and feelings, so giving and gaining support from each other. They strive to improve public awareness and maintain contacts with many other statutory and voluntary organisations.
The Crematorium has been working with families and Orthometals as part of the scheme, which enables bereaved families to donate metals which remain after the cremation process.

Don't forget to have your say in the Kimberley consultation
Residents, workers and local businesses in Kimberley are being urged to have their say on what improvements they would like to see as part of the Government’s Levelling Up Fund, which will see up to £20m invested in the town.
The £4.8 billion Levelling Up Fund will invest in infrastructure that improves everyday life across the UK, including regenerating town centres and high streets, upgrading local transport, and investing in cultural and heritage assets.

Self-isolating
If you develop symptoms of COVID-19, stay at home and self-isolate immediately. If you have a positive test result but do not have symptoms, stay at home and self-isolate as soon as you receive the results. Your household needs to isolate too.

The impact of the pandemic on you and your loved ones and not being able to enjoy all of the activities you would normally be involved in can all have an impact on your health. It is important to remember to look after yourself. If you have symptoms or a health concern you are worried about, please contact your GP practice. GP practices are still open and here for you. When you call your practice, you may be offered a consultation online or over the phone. If they feel they need to see you in person, they will invite you in for a face to face appointment.
