Part Time Cleaner

Salary: £18,563 pro rata per annum 15 hours per week 

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking to recruit a new cleaner to join our Housing Operations Team.

We are looking for a cleaner to assist in delivering the services to our customers who live in our Independent Living Schemes. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all the communal areas within the schemes, including corridors, kitchen, guest room and lounge are kept clean to enhance the living environment for our residents.

You will be required to adhere to health and safety procedures in relation to cleaning, manual handling and working with cleaning chemicals.

Your place of work will be at an Independent Living Scheme in Chilwell, however, cover at other accommodation schemes may be required at times.

Head of Planning and Economic Development

Salary: £52,368 to £57,604

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking for an individual who will exercise strong and competent professional leadership for our Planning and Economic Development services. 

This post offers the chance to play a key part in the development of the most exciting major development opportunity in the East Midlands in the coming decades, a major hub of which is located within Broxtowe’s area; the opportunity to both win resources for and develop creative plans and projects for investment in our area, and work with partners and developers to achieve our ambitious house building plans.

You will need to be politically sensitive, a good people manager, have plenty of energy stamina and creativity.

Planning Officer

Salary: £26,537 - £28,095

Broxtowe is a diverse urban and rural area to the west of Nottingham. The Borough is the Government’s preferred location for a High Speed 2 rail station, and is home to a wide range of businesses including leading telecommunication, retail and pharmaceutical companies. 

We are seeking an individual with the drive and enthusiasm to determine planning applications and help in delivering plans and projects within a well-organised planning service. Whilst experience would be beneficial, the position would also be suited for those graduating with a relevant degree from University.

You should be able to use your initiative, communicate effectively and have sound negotiating and report writing skills. The role would be within the Development Management function of the planning department.

 Independent Living            Co-ordinator (Temporary)

Salary: Up to £21,918 per annum. Temporary FTC for 2 years

We are looking for an Independent Living Coordinator to join our Independent Living Team who work with over 1400 residents across Broxtowe living in our self-contained Independent Living properties.

You will be working with residents, their families and external support agencies to develop an individual plan to help them live independently at home and to promote their health and wellbeing.

You will work alongside with our Activities Coordinators to arrange group activities and events to help improve residents’ social interactions.

Planning Contributions Officer

Salary: £31,941 - £33,819

The Planning Contributions Officer role requires someone with experience of dealing with S106 agreements and/or CIL as this individual would be responsible for overseeing and monitoring all s106 agreements in the borough, maintaining accurate records and liaising with developers and consultees to secure s106 contributions.

The role would also involve handling a caseload of planning applications.

You should be able to use your initiative, communicate effectively and have sound negotiating and report writing skills. The role would be within the Development Management function of the planning department.

Chief Accountant

Salary: £42,206 - £43,985 per annum 

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious finance professional with relevant skills and experience to lead our Accountancy team.

This is an excellent opportunity for CCAB qualified accountant, with great prospects for personal development and career progression as part of a multidisciplinary finance team.

You will manage and support the Accountancy team in the preparation of the annual revenue and capital budgets, monitoring of financial performance and completion of the final accounts. You will manage the planning, testing, training, implementation and review of computerised financial systems and ensure that the creditors function operates effectively.

Salary: £52,368 to £57,604

Broxtowe Borough Council is looking for an individual who will exercise strong and competent professional leadership for our Finance services. 

This post will deputise for the Deputy Chief Executive as the Council’s section 151 officer, manage the performance of the finance function to ensure the provision of a high quality service, and provide financial support to a number of exciting corporate projects, including the Beeston cinema development, the Stapleford Towns Fund, and the new house-building programme.

This role requires extensive community involvement, political engagement through the democratic process and carries a requirement to work outside normal office hours.
