Environmental Health Technical Officer-Contaminated Land

Salary: £29,023 - £30,723 per annum

You will be working in a busy section dealing with all areas of environmental health but particularly environmental protection including statutory nuisance investigations, planning applications, drainage, air pollution and noise control. Use of the new powers under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 will be expected in appropriate circumstances.

You must have previous practical experience and a proven track record of one of the disciplines in Environmental Heath and be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of applicable law and practice including different enforcement options.  You will need to be highly motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Senior Maintenance Officers x 2

Salary: £29,165 - £30,723 per annum

We are looking for two Senior Maintenance Officers to assist in the supervision of our in-house team of multi-skilled operatives and specialist sub-contractors working within our 4500 Council houses.

Carrying out pre, monitored and post inspections, you will also have extensive customer care experience and knowledge of the diagnosis of repairs defects and building pathology.

You will be part of a high performing team and will play a key role in ensuring Joinery, Building and Plumbing related repairs are arranged and completed efficiently and effectively through our in-house team. Productivity and performance improvements are one of our key objectives, so you will need to be confident in dealing with operational staff and have proven experience of achieving service delivery improvements.

Citizens Advice Broxtowe - Receptionist/Administrator

Salary: £17,500 - £18,360 pro rata

28 hours per week (over 4 days Wednesdays off) 

This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking local Charity. You will report to the Service Manager and undertake reception and telephone duties. You will also provide administrative and clerical support to the manager, other paid staff and volunteers. Citizens advice are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who can demonstrate the following:

  • Good written skills
  • Effective IT skills including using email
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of face to face and telephone customer service
  • An organised and flexible approach to work and working hours 
  • Good team work
  • Ability to work to deadlines
