Coronavirus dashboard for Nottinghamshire

dashboard

This week's COVID-19 figures for Nottinghamshire shows that Broxtowe has the second highest rates in the County.

We need to make sure we are all sticking to the guidance, practicing social distancing and washing our hands.

Let's keep going to keep you, your loved ones and your community safe from the virus.

Community Testing

Where to get tested?

where to get tested

Community (asymptomatic) testing is available for people who don't have COVID-19 symptoms.

1 in 3 people who have COVID-19 don't have any symptoms and could be spreading coronavirus without realising. Having regular tests can help stop this chain of transmission.

If you have no symptoms you can access a rapid test at our two sites: Stapleford Library Church Street and Newdigate Car Park, Kimberley. No booking is necessary.

If you have any COVID-19 symptoms please book a test or call 119. You can also access our walk through COVID-19 test site at Albion Street Car Park, Albion Street, Beeston, NG9 2PA.

If you have been invited to have your vaccination please book in for your appointment by following the details which you can find on the latest info page

COVID-19 guidance update

The 'stay at home' rule ends on 29th March but many restrictions will remain in place.

Step 1

People should continue to work from home where they can and minimise the number of journeys they make where possible, avoiding travel at the busiest times and routes.

From 29th March, there will be changes to the current rules in places as part of Step 1 of the Roadmap out of lockdown

  • Outdoor gatherings of either 6 people or 2 households are now permitted, including private gardens. Social distancing and hands, face, space should be maintained
  • Outdoor sports facilities such as tennis and basketball courts, and open-air swimming pools are now allowed to reopen, and people are able to take part in formally organised outdoor sports
  • Travel abroad will continue to be prohibited, other than for a small number of permitted reasons. Holidays abroad will not be allowed, given it will remain important to manage the risk of imported variants and protect the vaccination programme
  • Childcare and supervised activities will be allowed outdoors for all children
  • Formally organised parent and child groups will be able to take place outdoors for up to fifteen attendees (children under 5 will not be counted in this number)

From April 1st, those who were classed as clinically extremely vulnerable will no longer be advised to shield. However, they will still need to take extra precautions to protect themselves and it is vital they continue to keep the number of social interactions with others low.

A whole year

Covid

On Tuesday 23rd March marked the one year anniversary of the first lockdown. The silence was an opportunity to pay thanks to those who have worked hard to keep us safe and reflect on the sacrifices each and everyone of us has made over the last 12 months.

It also allowed us to thank those who have worked hard in the community to help look after one another. Whether it be food parcels, checking in on neighbours, raising money or sticking to the rules to keep us all safe. Thank you to all of our Broxtowe residents for the kindness they have shown over the last year.

The minute silence was incredibly important for us to remember those who have sadly died and keep those who have lost someone in our thoughts.

We hope the time to reflect will help us move forward and look ahead to the future.
