Welsh Government are seeking views on the draft Child Poverty Strategy for Wales.
There are five objectives outlined in the strategy, which aim to change the lives of children and young people in poverty:
- Reduce costs and maximise the incomes of families.
- Create pathways out of poverty.
- Support child and family wellbeing, including those with protected characteristics.
- Ensure children, young people and their families are treated with dignity and respect by support services.
- Ensure effective cross-government working.

 Evaluation of Personal Learning Accounts
In March 2021 the Welsh Government commissioned Wavehill to undertake an evaluation of the Personal Learning Accounts (PLA) programme. The final report was published on 15th June 2023.
The report:
- reflects on the design and implementation of the PLA programme
- analyses feedback on the process of enrolment in the PLA programme, analysing MI to identify patterns in the progress of course delivery and in the profile of those learners engaged
- explores the experience of learning
- analyses the outcomes and impacts arising from the programme to date
- provides a series of recommendations

 Alacrity Scheme Evaluation: 2016 to 2021
The Alacrity Foundation Graduate Entrepreneurship Programme is a collaboration between Welsh Government, industry and investors which has been operating in Wales since 2011.
There are two elements which have been funded by Welsh Government for 10 years:
- An educational boot camp.
- A seed fund investment into new technology companies.
The Alacrity Programme has requested a further 5 years of funding for both elements.
A comprehensive evaluation has been undertaken of the programme to form the basis for consideration of any further Welsh Government funding.
