Following the sad announcement from Buckingham Palace that our late Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth II passed away on 08 September 2022, the United Kingdom has entered a period of national mourning, which will be in place between now and the day after her funeral.
As a sign of respect, flags at the Civic Offices have been flown at half-mast. They have been raised to mark the proclamation of the accession of the new monarch, then will return to half-mast until the funeral of our late Sovereign Lady Queen Elizabeth II has taken place.
There are several events taking place across Bridgend County Borough to mark the passing.
