Darley Street Market Opens!

Darley Street Market opens on Thursday 10th July at 10.30am, offering a first look at Bradford’s exciting new market. Visit in the run-up to the celebration weekend to support traders and see what’s in store. On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th July the indoor market and outdoor square burst into life with flavour-packed street food from the Darley Street Kitchen, live cooking demonstrations by local and regional chefs—including Imogen Tilt of The Hawthorn—creative workshops and a themed trail to enjoy.

Bradford’s Yorkshire Day celebrations have gained an extra sprinkling of celebrity stardust as Aled Jones has joined the star-studded line-up for Yorkshire Calling on Friday 1st August at the newly refurbished Bradford Live venue. The singer joins Ian McMillan, Yuanfang Yang and more at this brilliant event celebrating Yorkshire Day, which is being hosted by Bradford and Ilkley in 2025. The Beacon at Cliffe Castle, Keighley 

The Beacon is a venue like no other – a stunning performance space that will be touring the district during Bradford 2025. It’s currently on its third stop of the year at Cliffe Castle in Keighley, from 10 July till 10 August 2025. 

From The Big Beacon Family Welcome on Saturday 12 July to Archaeology Talks and even Wonky Olympics, everyone’s welcome at The Beacon – and (almost) anything goes.

Summer Sounds  

Summer Sounds is Bradford 2025’s very own boutique music festival, taking place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August 2025—a two-day celebration of sounds from all around. We’re bringing a stellar line-up of acts from home and abroad to our big music weekend in Cliffe Castle Park.

It’s taking over The Beacon, our touring venue, in Cliffe Castle Park – and there’s an outstanding line-up of acts across the weekend: 

  • Saturday 2nd August brings rhythm, energy and radical connection from the likes of pioneer of jazz, funk, soul and electronic dance music Asha Puthli, British Asian pioneers Metz n Trix, soulful singer ganayvaand legendary instrumentalist Ustad Noor Bakhsh. 
  • Sunday 3rd August sees Nitin Sawhney, Poppy Ajudha and Joshua Idehenheadline a packed line-up of artists whose music knows no boundaries – from singer-songwriters to poets, soulful divas to thrilling big bands. 

Tickets are just £15 for one day in The Beacon or £25 for the full weekend – and capacity is strictly limited.  

There’s also a second open-air stage outside The Beacon in Cliffe Castle Park, with DJs, creative workshops and more on both days – and admission to the second stage is absolutely free with no booking required.
