Make Some Noise: Family Fun Day
 Saturday, 15 March (10am - 4pm) at National Science and Media Museum

Explore the magic of sound through exciting activities and musical performances for all ages. For British Science Week 2025 celebrate the science of sound. Discover DIY electronic instruments, grow your own poems and experiment with different types of noise throughout the museum.
As well as drop-in activities, this family day includes musical performances from Yorkshire Sound Women Network and students from Leeds Beckett University.
Time Loops
 Saturday, 15 March (7pm - 8.30pm) at National Science and Media Museum
Tickets: £10
Time Loops is a temporary exhibition in the form of a performance that brings to life rarely-heard historical instruments.
Objects that would usually be protected behind thick glass and touched with gloved hands will come to life through musicians’ touch and hearing to reveal themselves in very different ways. These otherwise mute objects can sing, growl, buzz and glide.

Bird Song with Andrew and Paul - Saturday, 15 March (10am - 12pm) at Denso Marston Nature Reserve - Escape the hustle and bustle of city life with a tranquil walk at Denso Marston Reserve in Baildon. Avid birdwatchers Andrew and Paul will guide you through the beautiful reserve, serenaded by birdsong. Spot a variety of bird species and learn about their unique behaviours and habitats.

John Dallas Guided Walk - Tuesday, 18 March (3pm) at Bracken Hall - Join John Dallas for a delightful 4-mile guided walk along the scenic River Aire and Leeds/Liverpool Canal, where he will share his vast knowledge and passion for our local waterways. During the walk, you might spot fascinating wildlife such as vibrant kingfishers, playful otters, statuesque herons, and grazing deer.

Lets Walk Keighley - Wednesday, 19 March (10.30am - 12pm) at East Riddlesden Hall - Why not come along on this walk, get active, make new friends, and get some fresh air? All you need to do is book in on this free walking session. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways.

Denholme Circular Walk - Saturday, 22 March (11am - 4pm) in Denholme - This walk offers stunning views of Airedale from Denholme Edge and later the Worth Valley near Thornton Moor Reservoir. If time allows, the group will visit the Brontë Stone (Emily Stone) at Ogden Kirk before returning to Denholme to finish the walk.

Bradford Oddfellows - Friday, 28 March (10.30am - 12pm) at Halfway House car park - Join the Bradford Oddfellows for Oddie’s Wanderers Walk. Meeting at the Halfway House Car Park on Otley Road, participants will embark on a delightful journey through the Denso Marston Nature Reserve. This leisurely walk offers a wonderful chance to explore the reserve's natural beauty, spot local wildlife, and enjoy the company of fellow nature enthusiasts. It's a perfect way to start your week, whether you're an avid walker or just looking for a pleasant morning activity.
Lovely Bug Ball
 Sunday, 16 March (12pm - 3pm) at Bolling Hall

Bolling Hall Museum is part of the Lovely Bug Ball this year.
While the main part of the event will take place in Bowling Park, Bolling Hall Museum offers hedgehog craft activities, special music guests, the Bradford Boar Trail, face painting, and the ladybird entertainer.
Come spend a great Sunday with your child, and don’t forget your bug costumes!
Tour & Talk: Variations on a Musical Theme
 Tuesday, 18 March (11.30am) at Cliffe Castle
FREE (booking required - few remaining tickets)
Visitors can join a tour and talk at Cliffe Castle, exploring the many connections the Butterfield family had to music and musicians, along with the numerous references to music throughout the building.
Did you know the castle has its very own theme tune?
The tour will also offer a closer look at some of the unusual musical instruments in the museum’s collections.
Morris & Co. Stained Glass Window Tours
 Saturday, 22 March (11.30am - 2.30pm) at Bradford Cathedral

On 24th March, it will be 191 years since the birth of William Morris. To celebrate the life and legacy of this influential artist, a special Morris & Co. stained glass window tour will be held at Bradford Cathedral on Saturday, 22nd March.
William Morris, the famous Victorian artist and designer who founded Morris & Co., collaborated with renowned figures such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones, and Ford Madox Brown to create stunning stained glass. Some early examples of their work are on display at four locations within Bradford Cathedral, including a recently discovered figure designed by William De Morgan.

The tour will also highlight the magnificent West Window, a beautiful Pre-Raphaelite piece designed by Heaton, Butler & Bayne.

I Am Me: Celebration Event

Join us to celebrate the exhibition and take part in pop-up activities led by young people.
Meet exhibiting Artists James Robert Morrison and Chemaine Watkiss and local artist Jess Swift at our Artist Q&A from 2pm – 3pm, where you can find out about their life as artists and get some top tips and advice about the artworld.
