Haworth public toilets now fully upgraded
The second phase of work to fully upgrade the public toilets in the historic village of Haworth has now been completed.
The Keighley Towns Fund initially allocated £130,000 to refurbish the men’s and women’s toilets respectively on West Lane near the Bronte Parsonage Museum.
This involved the complete renovation of the toilet blocks in 2023, as well as upgrades to the facilities including touch-free flushing toilets and taps.
Through careful management of the project by Haworth with Stanbury Village Council, it was delivered with a saving of £20K. It was agreed that this money could be spent on upgrading the Haworth Park Toilets

Shipley Market Square public realm improvement set to begin
Ambitious regeneration work is due to start next week on the public realm improvements to Shipley Market Square.
This re-development will create a contemporary and adaptable space, suitable for events and pop-up market stalls. The square will feature a new all-weather canopy meaning it will be able to host year-round events, regardless of the weather.
The existing permanent market stalls will be removed allowing for a revitalised market to regularly take place under the canopy and along the promenade.
