Prince of Wales Park, Bingley until 16 April. Join the Friends of Prince of Wales Park and download or collect a printed map from behind the drinking fountain. Find your way round the park, collect all of the tree names shown on each cut out egg in the trees. Take your completed list to the arena on Wednesday or Saturday 11am-12pm (until 16 April) and collect a small prize. More here.

Easter Crafts in Keighley and Oastler Market
Join us in the Oastler Centre and Keighley Market for springtime craft this Saturday 8 April between 11am-3pm. FREE.
Turn an unused container into a beautiful plant pot using a decoupage technique, then fill it with compost and choose a summer bulb to plant. Don't forget to keep it watered when you get home! These sessions will be delivered by our friends at Keighley Creative in both Keighley and Oastler (Event Space) markets. More here.
Creative Journaling at Keighley Library
 Keighley Library Saturday 15 April 2pm-4pm - FREE and open to adults and accompanied young people 12 and over.
An informal supportive space to try out different ideas and ways to creatively journal, and get inspired together. At previous meetings, some tried out making envelope journals, while others wrote, drew, collaged and bullet-journalled
The next session’s prompt as decided by the group is ‘Symbols’, which you are welcome to respond to, but you can also do your own thing if you prefer.

Drumming Workshop With Diego
 12 April 1.30pm - 2.30pm Cartwright Hall - booking essential
During this workshop with Diego, you will learn the basics of Djembe drumming: how to position the Djembe, how to position your hands on the drum, how to make the three different sounds: tone, slap and bass, and you will of course also learn a few rhythms!

AJAYU Transitorio Performance

AJAYU Transitorio (pronounced A-HI-U) means transient soul. It is inspired by the traditional celebration of Day of the Dead in Bolivia which celebrates the eternal, providing one day a year for the living to be reunited with the departed.
Combining contemporary multi-cultural dance styles (including Bolivian dance, Kuchipudi dance, Afro-Diaspora styles) with atmospheric percussive world music and poetry, AJAYU Transitorio, is a live performance that explores the traditions, relationships with food, death and dying through the magic of traditional rituals and cultural practices.  Be inspired by the Victorians (who loved Easter) and take part in some FREE fun packed activities suitable for all the family!
There'll be an indoor and outdoor Easter Egg trail (from 1st April at each site).
12th April 11am-3pm at Bolling Hall learn about decoupage and create your own traditional Easter card to send to a loved one or make some beautiful flowers to decorate your home (just like the Victorians did).
The Easter Bunny will be popping up throughout the day – come and say hello and grab a selfie. Fancy dress and Easter bonnet wearing is encouraged. More here.

Celebrating 250 years of the Leeds Liverpool Canal
On Thursday, 8 April 1773, two barges loaded with coal set off from Bingley to Skipton. They were the first boats to carry goods on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
On Easter Saturday, 8 April, 2023, the Leeds & Liverpool Canal Society will be recreating this great occassion.
Their heritage boat Kennet, along with various more recent pleasure boats ‘in tow’, will leave Bingley at 9.15am, and hopefully arrive in Skipton at approx. 3.45pm.

Join the crowd who welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem. Sit at the table with Jesus and his friends at their last supper together. Stand at the foot of the cross and hear Jesus’s final words. Then approach the tomb in preparation for the crux the Easter story.

Keighley and District Model Engineering Society - Railway Event Sunday, 16 April.
Miniature railway track open to the public for rides behind steam and electric locomotives. All ages welcome. Trains run approx 1.30pm-5pm.
Train tickets £1 each one trip is two times round our track, giving a ride of nearly 1/2 mile. Club house will be open for the sale of refreshments. More here.
