Easter at Bradford Council Museums
 Be inspired by the Victorians (who loved Easter) and take part in some fun packed activities suitable for all the family!
There'll be an indoor and outdoor Easter Egg trail (from 1st April at each site).
For more fun there'll be events at:

- 5th April: Cartwright Hall
- 12th April: Bolling Hall
11-3pm learn about decoupage and create your own traditional Easter card to send to a loved one or make some beautiful flowers to decorate your home (just like the Victorians did).
The Easter Bunny will be popping up throughout the day – come and say hello and grab a selfie. Fancy dress and Easter bonnet wearing is encouraged. More here.

 The clock tower of Bradford City Hall will be lit up in red and white on Sunday 23 April to celebrate St George's Day.

Cherry Blossom Festival 23 April
 Celebrate St George’s Day at Bolling Hall on Sunday 23 April between 11am and 3pm with a fabulous Cherry Blossom Festival.
- Plant a summer bulb in a pot you’ve decorated to take home
- Face painting with a blossom-themed design
- Get a photo taken with the Blossom Flower Fairy and join in with a fairy dance
- Make a handcrafted tissue blossom to take home
- Flower themed children’s story-time in the library
- Balloon modelling
- Performances by The Rainbow Morris Dancers
- Meet Frances Tempest, Lady of the House and take a tour of her home
- Samosas, tea and cake will be available in the museum’s ‘Cold Kitchen’

Mrs Moore of Moorside Mill cordially invites you to her beautiful Mill Manager’s House at Bradford Industrial Museum. Hear about her life as the lady of Moorside Mill, Bradford Industrial Museum. Saturday 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 April.
Meet Frances Tempest - Bolling Hall was the temporary Royalist Headquarters after winning a great battle against the Parliamentarians under Oliver Cromwell, the Battle of Adwalton Moor (near Bradford) June 1643. Frances, as mistress of the house, would protect herself & her family by always having 2 Flintlock Pistols at the ready, “keeping her powder dry” under her apron. Sunday 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 April.

Come along on and watch the brave soapbox racers hurtle down our huge ramp. A great day out for all the family with continual commentary and all the action visible on large format screens. As well as the excitement on the course itself, there’ll be a funfair and live music. More here.

Can you tell the difference between an Ash and an Oak? Do you want to expand your knowledge of Bradford’s trees and share this with others? Join Field Studies Council for a free tree training course at Cartwright Hall - 13 May 11am-5pm
These are limited opportunities, so get in there fast! Training places and guides are allocated based on eligibility criteria
The Coronation of King Charles III
This May marks the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. It will be celebrated across the country and The Commonwealth and marked with a three-day bank holiday weekend from Saturday 6 May to Monday 8 May 2023. There will be events and activities across the district celebrate this momentous occasion.
Residents and community organisations can apply for a grant of up to £250 to put on an event in their neighbourhoods.
