Launch of Bronte Footsteps Town Trail

Thackley Christmas Tree Lights Switch-On

 Cliffe Castle Museum Saturday 3 December 2pm-3pm FREE
A recital and informal talk celebrating a new display of the heritage lithophone.
Percussionist Polly McMillan will be playing four new compositions written especially for the instrument by local composers Ben Crick, Ben Gaunt, Flori Maunders and Heider Nasralla.
The stones were re-discovered after years in storage, they were donated to the museum in 1906 by Henry Phillipson, who was the museum curator at the time.
This rare set of heritage musical stones, known as a ‘lithophone’, is now displayed in the conservatory at Cliffe Castle museum you can come along and play it yourself.

The High Street will be closed from 8am to 8pm (we're hoping to have it cleared and open again by 6pm).

Sing As One - Christmas Carol Service

All those working in health and care locally, either in the NHS, local authority, VCS or the independent care sector across the Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership are invited to the NHS Carol Service, which features the Bradford Cathedral Choir and a youth brass band.
Doors open at 5.30pm, and refreshments will be served following the service, around 7.30pm.

Visit Santa in the Oastler Market
Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to make special appearances in his grotto at the Oastler Market Event Space on Saturday 10, Saturday 17, Saturday 21, Friday 23 and Christmas Eve Saturday 24 December from 11am to 3pm. He will also be doing walkabouts down to meet children at the Kirkgate Market.
