Events at our museums and galleries
 Our venues across the district, Bolling Hall, Bradford Industrial Museum, Cartwright Hall and Cliffe Castle, are great places to spend the day with lots of different exhibitions and displays to discover, as well as outdoor space to explore all for FREE.
Halloween Hyacinths and the Bradford Story Bus - Bolling Hall Sunday 23 October 11am-3pm
Travelling more than 3,000 miles from New York, the bright yellow school bus promotes community literacy in Bradford. This FREE event will feature:
- Storytelling and book giveaway
- Decorate a pot in a spooky style for Halloween and plant it with a hyacinth bulb to take away.
- Facepainteing for your little witches, warlocks and wizards
- Looks out for characters from the famous wizarding books!
- Meet Frances Tempest and take a tour of her home, Bolling Hall
- Refreshments on sale in the Cold Kitchen.

Lister's Lanterns at Lister Park and Cartwright Hall

Windrush Exhibition - Cartwright Hall from 18 October
 A new exhibition telling the Windrush stories of residents in the Bradford district is set to open at Cartwright Hall on Tuesday 18 October coinciding with Black History Month. More information here.

 Zoo on the Broom - Wibsey Library 27 October 1.30pm-2.25pm
A FREE animal-handling and fact finding workshop for families with ZooLab. Come along and find out about some "scary" animals - look out for stick insects, tarantula, cockroaches, scorpion, giant millipedes and rats! Suitable for families with children aged 4-11.
The Bear & The Bird King
A FREE family friendly event - Interactive re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm tale. When Bear upsets the King of the Birds, it is time for all creatures to battle it out. The beasts of the land vs the beasts of the air. But whose side are you on?

- Potion making and wand making workshop 10am-4pm.
- Room on the Broom screening inside the pop-up cinema at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. Snacks and drinks included.
- Hot pumpkin soup tasters and decorating pancakes session from 11am-3pm.

Bradford BID - Pumpkin Festival
 Don’t miss out on Bradford’s Pumpkin Carving Workshop! Bring your little one along to The Broadway Bradford on Friday 28 October 11-3pm and carve a FREE pumpkin with the help from some experts.
The highly successful pumpkin trail will also be running from 27-29 October, with 10 music themed pumpkin scenes to spot around the city centre!

October is Music Month
 October is Music Month continues with lots of great events across Bradford city centre.
'October is Music Month' is about bringing together as many events as possible to remind people just how much Bradford has to offer and to celebrate our love for music.
Bradford at Night are working with Bradford BID, Bradford Council and Bradford Producing Hub, to bring the streets alive with the sound of music.
