The Reading Pictures: Seeing Stories Festival is a unique visual literacy festival from ASCEL (the Association of Senior Children's and Education Librarians) Yorkshire and Humberside and the Arts Council.
The festival gives children and young people the opportunity to meet and learn from illustrators and artists and offer children and their families the chance to discover the power of pictures while enjoying some creative fun.
Throughout April and May, take part in art workshops with textile artists; collage story-making for children with autism; storytelling performances based on Martin Waddell's Owl Babies and a Star Wars drawing workshop.
