Bradford Clean Air Zone is coming

Clean Air Zone - update 7th February 2022


Grants available for Bradford businesses

To support the replacement or retrofit of non-compliant vehicles to meet clean air zone standards and to assist with the ongoing running costs of electric vehicles grants are available to Bradford businesses.

Grants are still open for the following categories.

The remaining funding is available for taxis, LGV and minibuses available on a first come first serve basis. The window for the HGV, Coach and Bus grants are now closed.

Grants are available to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), Sole Traders/self-employed, education establishments and charities registered within the Bradford Metropolitan District.

Grants do not apply to businesses with more than 250 staff (other SME criteria may also apply).


Clean Air LGV and Minibus Fund Programme

The Clean Air LGV programme has grants remaining to help local companies (SMEs) and organisations to upgrade their vehicles to meet the Clean Air Zone (CAZ) standards. The CAZ will be live in Spring 2022, don't delay upgrade your vehicles today.

Funding is limited so check the criteria and apply now.

Clean Air Taxi Fund Programme

The Clean Air Taxi programme has new grants to help the Bradford licensed taxi trade upgrade their vehicles to meet Clean Air Zone (CAZ) standards. The CAZ will be live in Spring 2022 so you have more time to use the Clean Air Funding available and upgrade your vehicles.

Funding is limited so view the criteria and apply now.

What next?

If you think you may be eligible for a grant then apply now as funding is limited.

If you are not eligible for a grant you may be eligible for an exemption.

The Bradford Clean Air Exemptions Programme is expected to be launched in the coming weeks. If you haven't done so already, register your interest by completing the Expressions of Interest Form

Once the scheme is launched we will email further information on applying for exemptions once the process is live.
