Substance Misuse survey – we need your views

Survey

Bradford Council is responsible for commissioning services relating to substance misuse for residents across district and this survey will enable the council and its partners to find out what services are needed and when.

People from across the district are being encouraged to come forward and feedback on services available by taking part in the survey.

Substance misuse is the dependency on, or addiction to, the regular use of alcohol and or drugs to the point where it could affect a person’s job, personal life, health and even their personal safety.  The effects of misusing any type of drugs or alcohol can be distressing and cause major health and psychological problems.

Help is out there but in order to keep services up to date and the council needs to review the services on a regular basis to ensure the right support and advice is readily available to those that need it.

This survey is quick and anonymous and will help plan these services for the future so taking part means you get the service you deserve.

Sexual Health survey – we need your views

People from across the district are being encouraged to come forward and feedback their ideas and views on improving the services available by taking part in a survey on sexual health.

Good sexual health is important for people of all ages and Bradford Council wants to make sure that contraception, family planning and sexual health services are easily accessible for everyone.

Over the last year there has been a shift in how these services have been accessed, which has for example, pushed the focus to being able to request testing kits on-line.  Prior to the pandemic 16% of people were using on-line as a way of requesting tests or having a consultation, but in 2020 figures increased to over 50% using on-line as the main way of accessing these services.

Anyone who is likely to use one of these sexual health services, even if they haven’t used them before, is being encouraged to complete the online survey.

The survey, being run by Bradford Council, asks where and when people would want to access these services and what they want to receive from them.

The results will be used to help make sure Bradford’s sexual health team have the right services and support available to suit people’s needs, in the right place and at the right time, across the district.

This survey is quick and anonymous and will help plan contraception, family planning and sexual health services in the future, so taking part means you get the services you deserve.
