Celebrate Yorkshire Day - 1 August 2021

Yorkshire Day

Fly the flag for Yorkshire Day on 1 August and celebrate ‘God’s own county’ and all the things the district has to offer.

Look out for a video message from the Lord Mayor of Bradford Cllr Shabir Hussain on our Facebook and Twitter pages on Sunday 1 August.

Flags, lights and bells to celebrate

We're lighting up City Hall, Margaret McMillan Tower and the arches at Forster Square Station in the Yorkshire colours of blue, white and yellow and we'll be flying the Yorkshire flag in Centenary Square.

Listen out for the City Hall bells ringing out the famous Yorkshire anthem 'On Ilkla Moor Baht 'at' at 11am on the day.
