There is lots of information about COVID-19 coming from several different channels such as the Government and the NHS.
This bulletin aims to give you a summary about COVID-19 related information that is new or has changed recently.

Are you over 45 and not had your COVID-19 vaccination?
You can now book your COVID-19 Vaccination if:
- you were aged 45 or over on or before 30 March 2021
- you are at high risk from coronavirus (clinically extremely vulnerable)
- you have a condition that puts you at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)
- you have a learning disability
- you are an eligible frontline health or social care worker
- you get a Carer's Allowance, get support following an assessment by your local authority or your GP record shows you are a carer
If you think you're an eligible unpaid carer who has not been contacted for your coronavirus vaccination, speak to your GP surgery.

Pop Up PCR COVID-19 Testing
The COVID response hub will be hosting pop up COVID-19 PCR tests for people with no symptoms. PCR tests give accurate laboratory results in 24-48 hours and are sent by text or email.
No appointment is required, just walk in.
Pop Up PCR Testing locations are below:
- Friday 23 April – Shipley Glen, Shipley
- Monday 26 April - ASDA Shipley, Shipley
- Wednesday 28 April - Tesco Halifax Road, Bradford
- Friday 30 April - ASDA Cemetery Road, Bradford
- Sunday 2 May - Tong Garden Centre, Tong lane, Bradford

Lateral Flow Test (LFT) kits available for all
It’s now easier than ever to get your rapid COVID-19 tests – you can collect from over 50 sites across the district or even get them delivered direct to you house.
There are many local pharmacies where you can collect a LFT kit, find your nearest pharmacy.
From the 29 April you can collect your LFT kits from Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Britannia House, Bradford and the Town Hall in Keighley.
LFT kits can also be delivered to a home address if you cannot collect, you can order using this link.
Due to the test kits being readily available from the places above you will no longer be able to collect LFT kits from the locations below:
St George's Hall: last opening date will be Thursday 29 April, closed from 30 April
Airedale Centre Keighley: last opening date will be Thursday 13 May, closed from 14 May.

Celebrating Ramadan Safely
With COVID19 lockdown easing still ongoing, 2021 Ramadan will be a very different experience for British Muslims. Whilst restrictions will be more relaxed compared to 2020 things will still be different, please ensure we are all safe during Ramadan by following these guidelines:
- Please respect your Mosque’s neighbours.
- Be considerate when parking, maintain social distancing and keep noise levels to a minimum.
- Please remember, you MUST be wearing a mask before you enter a Mosque.
- Sunnah prayers - Please pray your sunnah prayers at home.
- This Ramadan, you MUST take your prayer mat to Mosque.
- You will pray on your mat, you will open your fast on your mat and there is NO communal eating
- Maintain social distancing in the Mosque at all times.
- Keep a 2m distance from EVERYONE in the Mosque, at all times, including Iftar and Tarawih.
- Iftar rules - Bring your own bottled water, bring your own khajoor (dates), DO NOT share food or water, no communal eating and no food distribution.
Roadmap out of lockdown
The Government announced that from 8 March, people in England will see restrictions start to lift. They have published details of a four-step road map which details the route back to a more normal life.

Self-isolate - help stop the spread
If you have coronavirus symptoms or have tested positive for coronavirus you must self-isolate for 10 days.
You should self-isolate if you have any of the following symptoms:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Coronavirus testing in Bradford District
If you live or work in the Bradford District there are now several different ways you can get a test for COVID-19 including mobile testing units, home testing and lateral flow testing.

Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:
- you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
- your condition gets worse
- your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
