Are you ready for a new start?

Take your first step on your fostering journey

new year new start

Are you looking for a new start this year? You may be rethinking your life, perhaps looking for a fresh challenge, or maybe you are at a crossroads and facing increasing uncertainty at your workplace.

Maybe now is the time for you to take that first step on your fostering journey as Bradford Fostering is recruiting carers now to start fostering as soon as possible.

If you have the time and availability to support and nurture a child and at least one spare room, then we would love to hear from you.

We are prioritising assessments for foster carers who will look after older children and teenagers and part time foster carers to help look after children with disabilities.

Please join us this Wednesday evening at 7pm to find out more about fostering from the comfort of your own home.

Online information sessions

The Bradford Fostering online events give you the chance to speak to an experienced foster carer and a social worker about what fostering is like and ask them your questions.

You'll learn:

  • what it's like to foster a child and what the full time and part time fostering options are
  • what training, support and pay you receive when you foster a child
  • what Bradford fostering is looking for in its foster carers

Upcoming event dates:

  • Wednesday 27 January 2021, 7-8pm
  • Saturday 27 February 2021, 12-1pm
  • Wednesday 24 March 2021, 7-8pm

All events are held on Zoom and event details can be found on our website.

If you have any questions, have problems joining the session or would like to know more about the event beforehand, please:

We hope to see you soon.

Useful information

Can I foster?

All kinds of people become foster carers. It doesn’t matter if you are retired, have a job or have a family of your own. The most important thing is that you can provide the professional commitment and stable home that a child needs to thrive in your care. Take our simple quiz to find out if you could foster.

Why foster with your local authority?

Having more foster carers working directly with Bradford Fostering means we can focus the Council's limited resources on supporting our local children and young people to stay in the Bradford district. To read more about this, click on the link below.
