We are still open recruiting foster carers to look after children and young people in the Bradford district who need stable and loving foster families.
Bradford Fostering is the biggest fostering agency in the district. We work with over 500 fostering families who look after more than 760 children. We still need more families like yours to come forward today.
Why should you get in touch? Perhaps your circumstances have changed due to the pandemic, or perhaps you've found you really like working from home, or maybe you just need a reminder that you want to find out more about fostering. Whatever your reason, if you want to make a difference and change children's lives for the better, we would love to hear from you.

Wendy and Michael had a young family when they first started fostering two sisters, but once all the children had grown up and flown the nest, they realised they were not ready to stop being parents, and started over again by fostering three more children.
Wendy believes you need a range of skills and qualities to foster, not just parenting skills, but problem-solving, working as part of a team, empathy, flexibility and patience. Do you have these skills?
Read Wendy and Michael's story about how they became foster carers over 15 years ago and how Michael came to walk his foster daughter down the aisle.

If you are interested in, or have any questions about, fostering or becoming a foster carer, join us on Wednesday 18 November from 7pm to 8pm for a virtual information session.

Join us from the comfort of your own home for this informal session via Zoom about fostering with Bradford Council . There are no expectations if you attend the session that you have to move forward and become a foster carer with us.
We are there to talk about why foster carers are needed and what it's like to be a foster carer and hopefully answer any questions you may have.
There will be a presentation about why Bradford needs foster carers, what Bradford Fostering is looking for and the different types of fostering (we offer both full time and part time fostering opportunities).
A Bradford foster carer will talk about what it is like to be a foster carer and is happy to answer any questions you might have about what it's really like to foster.
There will also be a social worker from our assessment team, who will talk about the assessment process and how long it will take. Again, they will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Please note, you will need to fully charge your device before joining the session, as Zoom uses up a lot of battery time.
If you would like to join us for the session, please register on Eventbrite using the link below. You will then be sent a confirmation email with the details about how to join. Alternatively, you can email the fostering recruitment team using the email address at the bottom of this newsletter to request an information pack and details of how to join the session next Wednesday.
There are lots of ways to find out about fostering with us:
