In normal times this would be the final month of Up & Away and Educating Bradford, our two temporary exhibitions at Bradford Industrial Museum. Unfortunately our second closure of the year means you won’t be able to see them (although there could be a short extension once we’re open again).

However, since the early days of the initial lockdown back in March they’ve both had an online version. These have been very popular, both attracting almost 5000 visitors. And the good news is, they’ll be ‘open’ for a very long time.

Mike Moor spent two years studying the displays and exhibits at Cliffe Castle Museum to create his current exhibition The Inspiration of Cliffe Castle.

This exhibition’s start date was delayed due to the covid 19 pandemic and due to the second lockdown Cliffe Castle Museum has had to shut its doors again.

However, Mike Moor’s exhibition which travels through a series of narratives born of the artist’s imagination and his connection with the museum exhibits is too good to miss, so until we can open our doors once again, please enjoy this digital version of his exhibition.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the works from the Mike Moor exhibition please contact Kirsty Young for more details on Kirsty.young@bradford.gov.uk

Although Mike explored Cliffe Castle and it's collection 'in real life' -  you can still explore Cliffe Castle virtually yourself, thanks to our Virtual tour.  Why not see if you can spot some of the items that inspired Mike's work?
