The message is clear - stay at home
We know people will be tempted to go out now that we have some nice weather, but the single most important thing you can do to save lives is to Stay At Home.
Most people are complying and are understanding and we'd like to thank them for this.
There are still some people who are continuing to try and find any excuse as to why they think the rules don’t apply to them. We know that this is hard, but every time you go out you are quite literally putting your life and the lives of those who you come in to contact with at risk.
Stay at home and only leave your house for the following reasons:
- to shop for basic necessities such as food or medicine and this should be done as infrequently as possible
- for one form of exercise a day such as a run, walk or cycle, alone or with those you live with
- for a medical need including to donate blood, avoid harm, or to provide care or help for a vulnerable person
- travelling for work that can not be done at home
Even when doing these activities time spent away from the home should be kept to an absolute minimum and always ensuring to keep two metres (6ft) away from people that you don’t live with.
