Museums and Galleries
Following national guidance, Bradford Museums and Galleries closed on the 18 March to the public until further notice. At the moment, we are persevering with behind-the-scenes work, ticking off items on the perennial ‘to-do’ list - whilst maintaining our social distance practices of course!
We always love welcoming our visitors to our sites, but the safety and wellbeing of our visitors and staff is always our first priority, which is why the decision has been made to close
In the meantime, our plan is to continue to share stories around our collections and the work that we do through our social media accounts, website and e-newsletters, and the Council are keen for that to continue. If you’ve got anything to contribute, please do get in touch and help us keep sharing positive things.
Many of the sites we run are in or by parks – Cliffe Castle Park, Lister Park and Bowling Park remain open to explore so we are encouraging our audiences to explore and enjoy the (abiding by social distancing guidelines of course),
A big round of applause is deserved for all the staff in Museums and in Libraries for their cheerfulness and steadiness in these rather uncertain times.
