Bradford Clean Air Zone Consultation goes online
An online consultation survey for a proposed Clean Air Zone in Bradford is now available online.
The Clean Air Zone aims to improve air quality and the health of people in the district - particularly in the city centre, Shipley and Saltaire where pollution is highest.
The survey is targeted at citizens, businesses with vehicles, businesses without vehicles, coach and minibus operators, and taxi drivers and operators and can be completed on the Council’s website www.bradford.gov.uk/consultations. The consultation runs until 26 March 2020.
Further information about the Clean Air Plan can be found at www.bradford.gov.uk/breathebetterbradford.
A series of events are planned to explain proposals for the Clean Air Zone. Come down, ask questions and find out more on the following dates:
- Mon 2nd Mar – Main Hall, Keighley Central Hall, 1-8pm.
- Thurs 5th Mar – Hockney Room, Margaret McMillan Tower, Bradford, 1-8pm
- Weds 11th March – Ilkley Town Hall council chamber, 4-8pm
- Thurs 12th Mar – Meeting Rooms 1 & 2, Shipley Library, 1-8pm
The Government has released an initial £4 million to Bradford Council in order to help fund their work on improving air quality in the district.
The release of funding is an important step forward, endorsing the Council’s approach and plans submitted to the Government’s Joint Air Quality Unit, and will help refine and implement the proposals in line with the findings of the consultation.
