Weather forecast and flood alerts
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of snow and ice covering the Bradford district.
Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.
It is forecast to stay windy during Monday night into Tuesday with some wintry showers.
There are currently two flood warnings in place on parts of the River Aire in the Bradford district.
Please keep an eye on the weather forecast and take extra care.
Road conditions and gritting
With a cold night to come, road surface temperatures will drop below zero. Showers are likely to fall as snow on high ground.
We will be gritting high level roads from 6pm. Two night patrols will monitor the roads overnight from 10pm.
If the weather does not deteriorate normal collections will be maintained throughout the district this week. Obviously if there is a risk to crews or members of the public, a decision whether to press ahead or not will be taken on the spot.
After emptying each bin, the staff will lay them on their side to reduce the risk of the bin being blown into the road, causing danger to traffic.
Please take your bin back to your property as soon as it has been emptied or at the earliest opportunity if you are not around at the time.
If you have an infirm or elderly neighbour could you please consider assisting them with their bin to get it back home as soon as possible.
Bin crews will also be on the lookout for any problems such as flooding, unsafe property or trees and residents who need help because of the bad weather.
You can read more about bin collections in bad weather on our website.
