Libraries Connected Yorkshire and Humber have provided funding for Bradford Libraries to deliver four innovative writing for well-being courses.
We started our first course Living with grief and loss in June and our next courses are due to start in September.
These courses are aimed at people who don’t usually have the opportunity, space or access to explore their creativity. These courses will focus on connecting with the self and others and will encourage the finding of new ways of expression and the managing of feelings. The course attendees will establish a creative practice through prose, poetry, memoir or journal.
The courses will be facilitated by Christina Wilson who is a writer, trained in writing for therapeutic purposes.
These courses are free. To book a place on any of these courses, please email dionne.hood@bradford.gov.uk

Bradford Libraries Rhyme Challenge
Do you want to take the Bradford Libraries Rhyme Challenge?
Learn five rhymes with your under five and receive a certificate.
Research shows that rhymes are really great for child development and help improve sociability, fine motor skills and speech and language!
Why not encourage your local nursery/toddler group to take up the challenge during September to March or take part at your local library in the new year.
