Creative Writing and Poetry Courses

Creative Writing: 10 weeks Learn about different writing styles and genre through weekly exercises. This course will lead you through the essentials of the craft, including characterization, plotting, description, dialogue and editing. There will also be the chance to explore publishing opportunities and share your own writing and receive feedback. Beginners and more experienced writers welcome. 10 weeks. An Afternoon with R.C. Bridgestock

Best selling husband and wife writing duo will be talking about how they went from 30 years in the police force in Bradford to become crime novelists and script consultants on TVs Happy Valley and Scott and Bailey. Fun Family Activities this Easter

Bradford Libraries are offering a host of fun family activities this Easter.  Library staff will be telling stories involving bunnies, Easter baskets and of course eggs, and welcoming children and their families to join the fun. 

Along with the storytime each library will be helping children and families to make Easter baskets with craft materials.

Bingley Library will also be searching for hidden eggs and holding a special colouring competition for young budding artists.

There will be an Egg Hunt and special movie time at Heaton Hub Library.

Libraries are also welcoming the Family Learning and Adult Skills team into their venues this Easter to work with families on other exciting craft activities.
