Does your bin need repairing?
|
If your wheelie bin needs repairing, this service is free. We hold a stock of lids and wheels and we try to repair bins where possible. If we can’t repair the damage you will have to request a new bin.
If you need a recycling bin, they are free, you can have more than one recycling bin. Request a bin repair or order a new bin here.
We had a great time this weekend at the Dragon Boat Festival in Saltaire talking to people about recycling and helping them with their queries about recycling.
We will also be taking our recycling stand to Thornton Gala on Saturday 21 July and to Keighley Show on Saturday 1 September. Come and see us there to find out more.
 The most popular questions were...
"Why can't we put takeaway coffee cups in the recycling bin?" and "What about plastic bags?" but interestingly lots of people were saying that now they are recycling more they have much more room in their general waste bin, which is great news!
Here's a reminder of items we don't want in your recycling bin...

- Wallpaper - some have adhesive or coatings on them which can’t be separated
