A year long programme of story times has been developed by Bradford Libraries to celebrate exciting newly published picture books. The special story times will take place each month in libraries across Bradford.
 Bath Book Bed
Organisations working with under fives will be celebrating the Booktrust’s Bath Book Bed campaign with a range of activities and events during 9th – 15th April including Peppa Pig themed activities and rhyme times.
In it’s second year, BookTrust’s campaign puts stories firmly at the centre of a good night’s sleep. They feel that Bath Book Bed is the answer all parents/carers of young children have been looking for. Libraries know the value of a good book and work hard to ensure there are great titles available for that bedtime routine moment.
Burley, Keighley, Eccleshill & Baildon Libraries will be offering bedtime stories and craft activities.
Shipley and Laisterdyke Libraries are excited to offer a Peppa Pig themed storytime with crafts including Peppa Pig puppets.
For the first time this campaign also includes private nurseries and schools. The seventeen settings taking part are spread across the district from Queensbury Tykes to Harden Pre-School to Parkland Primary School. They are offering events including stories under the duvet, pyjama bedtime stories and will be encouraging families to join the library so that they can continue their reading journey and support the Bath Book Bed routine.
Children’s centres are also taking part by having Bath Book Bed themed stay and play sessions and Parkland Children’s Centre are offering a Peppa Pig Easter Event.
