Family Learning Festival 2017

family learning festival

Welcome to this year’s Family Learning Festival.  We’re “Staying In Touch” this year and you will find all sorts of exciting events where you can stay in touch with family and friends.

The festival takes place 21st – 29th October in various venues across the district.  There are lots of free events and activities for families to take part in.

Staying In Touch Super Saturdays

We’re pretending to be aliens and want to stay in touch with our families back on planet Zonk!  Sponge Tree will introduce Claire Freedman’s amazing Aliens Love Underpants picture books and make spacecrafts and alien deeley boppers.  Create a giant alien on the windows of City Library!  Face paints like an alien.  Meet Bookstart Bear in his alien disguise.  Join our alien storytimes at 11am and 2pm.  Design a postcard and let someone know how it feels to be an alien far from home.  Little people can relax at Sponge Tree’s alien focused laughter yoga workshops.  Our space rocket needs decorating too!
