We're happy to be supporting Recycle Week which is now in its 14th year.
We want to encourage you to think about recycling more, which will help to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill, improve the environment, and reduce the cost of waste disposal. Look out for our bin wagons, they may help to remind you what you can put in your recycling bin.
It’s great you're recycling more items but we cannot take the items listed below in your recycling bin.
No thanks, please don't put these items in your recycling bin
- Black plastic food trays
- Plastic plant pots or seed trays
- Plastic bags or bin bags
- Cellophane or clingfilm
- Bubblewrap or foam
- Polystyrene packaging
- Polystyrene cups or cartons
- Take away drink cups
- Crisp packets or sweet wrappers
- Mirrors or sheets of glass
- Pyrex jugs or dishes
- Paint tins or oil cans
- Wallpaper
- Plastic toys

Do you have friends or neighbours who speak other languages?
Did you know that the Bradford Council website has an option to read the content in other languages? Just look at the top right of the web page, above the ‘search this site’ box, there is an option to ‘Select Language’...it translates in moments.
If you leave extra waste next to your bin it will no longer be taken away. After the bin has been emptied, any extra waste at the side of the bin will be put inside the bin ready for the next scheduled collection.
The Domestic Waste and Recycling Policy will be enforced.
Remember, the more you recycle, the more room you will have in your general waste bin.
You can have more than one recycling bin, order yours now, they are free.
