Geomagnetic Storm Forecast
9 - October - 2024
We are expecting a significant increase in geomagnetic activity on the 10th and 11th of Oct due to three Earth-directed coronal mass ejections arriving in short succession late on the 10th and the early hours of the 11th.
Assuming clear dark skies, there is a chance of seeing the aurora during the nights of 10th –11th October. Those in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have the best chance if the weather is favourable.
