Geomagnetic Storm Forecast

Many people around the northern hemisphere stayed up late to observe dazzling displays of the aurora on 10th - 11th May 2024.
The arrival of several Coronal Mass Ejections in late afternoon on 10th May resulted in one of the most extreme and long-lasting geomagnetic storms recorded in the last 155 years!
We are not expecting further significant geomagnetic activity this week. However, as we are approaching solar maximum, large events such as this one are expected in the coming years.
