Geomagnetic storm forecast

An increase in geomagnetic activity is expected on the 22nd and 23rd January due to the anticipated arrival of a coronal mass ejection (CME) associated with a filament eruption observed on the 20th January.
Assuming clear, dark skies, there is a chance of seeing the aurora tonight (22nd-23rd January). Those in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have a better chance if the weather is favourable.
