New heat network training opportunities
Three new heat network training opportunities are currently available through the Heat Training Grant. You can get a grant of up to £500 towards the eligible courses below. The full price of the courses is £600 at the most, meaning all or much of the cost will be covered by the grant. Please do sign up using the links below.
Training Opportunities
CPV has 40+ years of experience designing, developing and manufacturing high-quality heat networks. CPV is offering four training courses for installers on-site in Romsey, Hampshire.
This course covers correct preparation (peeling) and using electro-fusion welding machines, alignment clamps, and techniques for the primary service pipes.
This course covers the preparation and jointing techniques for electro-fusion, shrink and mechanical outer casing joints, covering the use of insulation in both PUR moulded half-shell foam and two-part bottled PUR foam mixes.
This course covers outer casing air tests for electro-fusion and heat-shrink joints and can demonstrate techniques for the removal and replacement of ‘failed’ joints, and the sealing of test holes using socket fusion techniques.
This course covers pre-installation checks of alarm wires, connecting alarm wires, and checking for continuity, insulation, and moisture.

SAV has been operating for 30+ years supplying low-carbon technology to the UK, with knowledge and experience from Scandinavia. They are offering training on-site in Manchester or Wokingham.
This course offers a comprehensive introduction to heat networks and practical training on ensuring heat networks deliver reliable, low-carbon and low-cost heat. SAV Systems has also created a new web-based troubleshooting tool with interactive video guides & supporting documents.
GTEC Training Limited (GTEC) has 15+ years of experience in training and providing qualifications in renewable technologies. They are offering online training.
An ideal introduction for anyone wanting to understand how district heating works, including, specifiers and building services engineers already working with heat pumps and/or large-scale projects in the commercial and residential sectors.
