Housing Assessment and Advice Officer - Bedford Borough Council
Salary: £31,099 - £33,820
Contract: 37 hours per week, Full time permanant
Bedford Borough Council has an great opportunity for a Housing Assessment & Advice Officer. You will work as part of a large team within the council’s Housing Options Service. If you would like to make a difference to the local community by preventing and relieving homelessness, then we would love to receive your application.
You will need to have recent, relevant experience working within a local authority’s homelessness department and be familiar with Housing Assessments and the council’s statutory homelessness duties. You will manage your own caseload and be required to take part in a duty rota and an out- of- hours’ service.
You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and carry out comprehensive investigations and assessments of housing needs quickly and confidently.
You must be familiar with completing Personal Housing Plans and making Section 184 decisions. If you have the necessary homelessness experience within a local authority and you are committed to achieving fantastic housing outcomes for customers, then please apply.
