The next upcoming lecture is:
Jim Rockhall - Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu
Tuesday 6th April, 7pm
Live from Michigan, USA, Jim Rockhill presents the amazing supernatural world of Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu (1814-1873), an Irish writer of Gothic tales, mystery novels and horror fiction. He was a leading ghost story writer of his time, and was central to the development of the genre in the Victorian era. His novella 'Carmilla' (1872) is often credited with having inspired Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and M R James described Le Fanu as 'absolutely in the first rank as a writer of ghost stories'.

The online Break the Stigma display is still available to view from the comfort of your own home. The Higgins Bedford teamed up with the Let's Be Open About Mental Health campaign to create a display of poems, artwork and quotes made by local people to give encouragement to those who may be struggling with their mental health at this current time.
