Taxi & Private Hire Licensing

The Department for Transport issued Statutory Taxi & Private Hire Standards to all Licensing Authorities on 21 July 2020. There was a recommendation within these standards that Licensing Authorities made publicly available a cohesive policy document that brings together all their procedures on Taxi & Private Hire Licensing. We are now consulting on our proposed new cohesive policy document.

Active Travel Fund

Bedford Borough Council have received funding from central government to improve cycle provision in the town. Goldington Road has been identified as one area that would benefit from a protected cycle path. The Council are seeking residents and stakeholders' views in relation to this proposal.
