BUDGET 2021 CONSULTATION NOW LIVE

Despite already achieving savings in excess of £100 million Bedford Borough Council needs to identify further savings. The impact of Covid-19 has had a major impact on the Council’s finances and resources. The Council faces an estimated funding gap of £26.4M to 2025/26 with an immediate pressure of £21.8M in the next financial year 2021/22.   The Council’s has approved a new Transformation Programme on 28 October 2020 in order to meet the funding gap. The Local Government Boundary Commission are asking local people and organisations to comment on draft recommendations for new ward boundaries across Bedford Borough.

Community Hub

With the country re-entering a national lockdown for four weeks from Thursday 5 November, Bedford Borough Council has relaunched its Community Hub to provide support for vulnerable residents. In partnership with local community organisations, the Community Hub is back up and running. If you are in need of information and guidance, or if you need support to get food deliveries or assistance with prescriptions, please get in touch with the Hub.
