Ancestry Library Edition available at home

Ancestry

Great news for family historians or if you’re thinking of starting your family tree. In response to the current situation, Ancestry is offering library members free access to Ancestry Library Edition from home until the end of May this year.

Ancestry Library Edition provides library members with access to English census records 1841 – 1911; birth, marriage and death records; records of immigration into the US and of emigration from the UK, including passenger lists and more.

Virtual Lego Club

Our library buildings might be closed but we are still here for you with digital services and fun activities for all the family.

One of our favourite library clubs has been moved online and we’re loving your imaginative Lego creations on the library Facebook page. Join in with the weekly theme or just go with the flow, and remember, this is one for kids of all ages!

Visit the Bedford Borough Libraries Facebook page to join in with the fun.

Library services from home

Just a reminder that due to the current situation all of our library buildings and the mobile library remain closed.

We are still here for you though, with digital services like BorrowBox and RBDigital, and we’ve pulled together some useful links to ideas for what to do at home as well as reliable sources of information regarding Covid-19.
