Have Your Say- Development at Ford End Rd and Land South of the River

Map

As part of the Local Plan 2030, the land around Ford End Road and the land south of the river surrounding Bedford St Johns train station was earmarked for future development for housing, shops, community uses and green space.

Everyone is invited to take part in digital consultation workshops to discuss the plans to create sustainable, resilient and attractive neighbourhoods in these areas and to share ideas on what they would like to see in each area.

The digital consultations will be held via ‘Zoom’- a web conferencing app. Find out more and register to attend via our website.

We are working to encourage as many people as possible to take part in our digital consultation- but do not worry this won’t be your last chance to have your say. There will be more opportunities to give your views, including a formal consultation later this year.

Stay Healthy at Home

With life very different at the moment and hard in many ways, we are seeing an increase in the amount people are drinking nationally.

Anyone who is finding that they are drinking more can get support to reduce this from Path to Recovery (P2R), a one stop service which provides drug and alcohol advice, treatment and support to those affected and their families. P2R can provide help to make life changes and reduce drinking.

Path to Recovery (P2R) have provided this quick quiz about drinking habits, and advice on how to cut down.

P2R are open Monday to Friday from 9.00am-5.00pm, and later on Thursday until 8.00pm and can be contacted on 01234 352220.
