Sport England have announced £195 million to help the sport and physical activity sector through the coronavirus (Covid-19) crisis.
You may have looked at these funding opportunities already and feel that they could provide you with the funding you may need as a result of this situation. Team Beds and Luton are really keen to support the sector in Bedfordshire and provide you with their experience of funding applications. If this is something you are considering then drop Team Beds and Luton an email to discuss what support is available.
Sport England have made it clear that the funding opportunities will not be able to meet all the demand – but Team Beds and Luton are able to give advice and guidance on what might be the best approach with regards to any applications you are considering.
Do get in touch to graham@teambedsandluton.co.uk and or clare@teambedsandluton.co.uk with a brief outline of your challenges and the fund you are considering applying to. As Team Beds and Luton envisage that there could be quite a lot of interest they are planning to hold some online workshops, so do get in contact soon.
More information can be found on the Sport England website

During this very difficult time for everyone, we would like to support those in the leisure and fitness industry to develop their Mental Health Awareness skills and prepare for when they are able to get back to coaching or volunteering face to face, or to have more tools at their disposal during online sessions.
We are encouraging people to stay active in their homes with various online activity sessions, but “staying at home” will also impact on peoples mental health, so we are offering Coaches / volunteers/ workers in the fitness industry a FREE online Mental Health Awareness for Sport & Physical Activity course
If you are interested in taking this FREE online course please send your details (including your role within Fitness / physical activity) to alison.brightman@bedford.gov.uk
Places are limited so requests will be dealt with on a first come first served basis.
