All Stars Cricket

Cricket 1

All Stars Cricket is an initiative from ECB aimed at providing children aged 5 to 8 with a great first experience in Cricket. There are lots of local centres that are running All Stars this year locally, please click here to find your nearest centre. Each child receives 8 weeks of fun packed cricket activities, a backpack full of goodies including a cricket bat, ball, activity book, personalised shirt and cap all sent straight to your door, all this for £40.

DSActive Tennis Workshop at Riverside Tennis Club

Outline of the workshop - This 3 hour long workshop will cover Down’s syndrome as a medical condition, the myths and truths surrounding Down’s syndrome, the work of the Down’s Syndrome Association and the DSActive programme, as well as how best to adapt a tennis session to suit people with Down’s syndrome and the learning profile typically associated with people with Down’s syndrome. The final hour of the course is a practical element, where coaches will be given the chance to put in to practice what they have learned from the workshop on the court.

Bedfordshire football facilities strategy

Bedford Borough Council, in partnership with Bedfordshire County FA and the Football Foundation, is producing a football facilities strategy which will identify all future investment in the sport over the next 10 years. Investment is focusing on 3G pitches, grass pitches, ancillary facilities, and also small sided provision.  KKP, a sports management consultancy, is currently undertaking the consultation as part of this piece of work.
