Animal Encounters with Teaching Talons
Teaching Talons provide fun, engaging, informative interaction with animals and they’re bringing woodland creatures to The Higgins for you to meet and discover more about.

Kindness Cards
On Valentine’s Day, create a woodland themed card with local artist Damon Poulton. Fill it with kind words and give it to someone you love.
Tree Identification Walk
Thursday 15th February - 11am, 12noon, 2 and 3pm.

Free event
Join Jo Roberts from the Forest of Marston Vale for a walk around the Castle Mound. Jo will show you how to identify some of the Mound’s beautiful trees.
Afterwards warm up inside with a tree-related craft activity.
Friday 16th February
Mosaic Making with Qemamu Mosaics - 11am, 12noon and 2pm
Create a stunning mosaic tile with Dionne Ible – creator of the Sankofa Bird mosaic in Connections Gallery.
13 – 16 February: The Higgins Young Peoples’ Panel (HYPP) will lead a series of activities related to the exhibition and the theme of The Power of Words during February half-term.
