Bedford International Kite Festival 2017 Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th June

The Bedford International Kite Festival returns to Russell Park on the 10th & 11th June 2017. As in previous festivals the event will showcase kites from the four corners of the globe including America, Canada, Japan, China, Germany, France, Holland and Belgium as well as flyers from across the UK. The programme throughout the weekend will feature kites never seen before in the UK and children's and adults workshops in the kite marquee. The festival has the unique ability to engage and enable all ages to take part; anyone can fly a kite. A special arena for members of the public to fly their own or made in the workshop kites will also be onsite.

Alongside the various demonstrations in the arena will be a whole host of other attractions, food and drink, entertainment, music and kite stalls specialising in kite equipment, clothes and other accessories.

Opening times for the festival are from 10am to 5pm on both days.

May Bank Holiday - 28th May 2017 - Bedford to Brighton day trip!

An special invite to Corn Exchange registered people to book seats for the Bedford to Brighton day trip on May Bank Holiday weekend.

The coach will leave Bedford town from St Paul's Square at 10.15am and travel direct to Brighton beach Pier where families, friends, couples, mates can visit the amazing fun fair, the Royal Pavilion, the museum & art gallery, stroll down the markets and try some of the best fish n chips at the renowned Regency or take a seaview seat with a refreshment in one of the many bars & pubs.

Departing Brighton at 17.15, you will have plenty of time to enjoy a full day in this great city and experience some amazing sites.
